YouTube videos are great but they can often be long, especially if they are tech related. What if you want to cut to the chase and link to a specific point in a video?
Linking to a Specific Point in the Video
YouTube allows you to append a "Time" parameter (t) to the video's URL. So, if your video's URL is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SLcruwnkLk...then to link to the point in the video at 18 minutes and 25 secs, just add the following (in bold) to end of your URL:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SLcruwnkLk#t=18m25sExplanation
"t" stands for "Time". All you then do is specify the point in minutes (m) and seconds (s) where you'd like the video to start playing.
Don't forget to include the hash "#" character as well.
Very simple but extremely useful.
