Ensuring that clients are fairly billed for project work carried out, and that the exposure to risk for both client and agency is distributed, is something that we take seriously at Deep Blue Sky and believe we have a method in place that does just this. In the interests of transparency - another of our watchwords - it is worth explaining...
Deep Blue Sky trusts its clients
Once a proposal for a project has been agreed and accepted by both parties, Deep Blue Sky will begin work when a 33% deposit payment has been received. Deep Blue Sky will then carry out the work required, with no further payments required until the stage at which the project is ready for launching at which time a delivery payment, again of 33%, becomes due.
We minimise the risk to the client
Between these two points the element of risk (monies paid vs work carried out) will have shifted from our client to Deep Blue Sky (in a 1:4 ratio, with Deep Blue Sky taking on the majority of the risk).
We have a fair and equitable payment policy
After launch, the final payment does not fall due for 30 days which provides our client with plenty of time to find and raise any post-launch issues and have them resolved before the last payment becomes due. Again, the risk is assumed by Deep Blue Sky insofar as time spent on the project is only reimbursed once our client is happy.
Deep Blue Sky use this method because we trust our clients and because we are confident in our own abilities to deliver according to our clients’ needs. Our experience has shown that this approach engenders mutually-trustworthy relationships and that is the bedrock of our business.
