My name is David Jones and I am currently attending work experience at DeepBlueSky, I am a 6th form student from Wiltshire, studying Business, Geography and Sociology.

twiDAQ is a fantasy stock market based around the social networking site Twitter, it works in the sense that users buy and sell shares of live twitter accounts, with the aim of being as profitable as possible, and to be more successful than their friends and other twiDAQ users.

twiDAQ is a very easy and understandable game to play, when visiting the site linking my twitter account made the signing up process straightforward and simple, and did not involve anything more than the click of a button.

At first the homepage including the ‘twiDAQ 100’ and other features may seem slightly daunting, but going through training helped to familiarise myself with the game and how the stock exchange worked, with one of the many engaging features of the site being the ticker, in my opinion this adds great value to the game as it’s taking functions from a genuine stock exchange and makes the game that much more fun to play.

twiDAQ works as a game as it is always inviting you back, as the more you play the more profitable you can become, and the more you trade the higher your level will become, games like this require you to come back for you to continue to be successful.

twiDAQ is clear and concise, as you can gain a lot of information from looking at one particular stock by scrolling over any of the listed accounts.

Different people are listed within different groups, an example being the Olympics, or upcoming movies, these have their own specific groups, this adds value to the game as it appeals to a wide range of people with different interests.

The layout and presentation of twiDAQ is clear and easy to gain information, but also it looks appealing, with simple things such as the fonts being easy to read, and simply using two colours that complement each other, the most noticeable colour on twiDAQ is the lime green coloured text to signify the change in price of different stocks, which draws your eyes to who on twitter is generating the most interest, and stocks that have lost value also appear in red, so the use of colour shows you which twitter accounts are successful on twiDAQ and the ones that are not, hinting ideas on who is going to be most profitable to invest in.

Overall twiDAQ has been designed to a standard that has made it a high quality fun game to play which is unique, and with the recent inclusion of an Events tab of upcoming worldwide events such as the Barclays Premier League, this will generate further interest and bring more new people to twiDAQ.

So why not give twiDAQ a try? signing up is straightforward, challenge your friends, work your way up through the levels, and have fun!
