This morning we were very proud to observe our internet webcam, hosted on behalf of West Country Farmhouse Cheesemakers, receive it's one millionth visitor since it went live at the start of the year.
The website, cheddarvision.tv, which focuses on a round of English Cheddar quietly maturing in a Somerset dairy has enjoyed attention from all corners of the globe.
Having enjoyed an interview on the BBC's Today Program and an in-depth article from the New York Times earlier this month the cheese is back in the news this morning as Reuters follows up on an earlier story to celebrate this increadible new milestone.
And it's not just the big-boys - the chatter in the blogsphere has been incredible. We've found some around 7000 people talking about the cheese!

Cheddarvision proves what publicity can do for the most boring subject. Watching Cheddar Cheese age is a quirky topic, which is why it has attracted so many. Curiosity and hype have helped. If anyone were to buy my domain visitcheddar.com, think of the hits!! Cheddar is a village in Somerset, England and the original home of Cheddar Cheese!
