Old graphics cards don't tend to have support for the now common screen mode 1366x768. ( As far as I know old modes were in factors of 8 ( roughly base 2 increments ) ).
So if you're like me and you're firing up a nice new little screen on an old, second slot, PCI graphics card then you'll end up with horribly blurred text on your Acer X193HQ.
Check the clock ( not the focus ).
Before you start rummaging around for drivers or running down to the shops for a new card make sure you've had a play around with the clock timing on your Acer screen because the chances are you can get the focus back.
I've personally found that a clock at around 36 is pixel perfect running 1360x768 @ 60hz but I'm guessing it's different for different graphics cards.
Trick is to hold your finger down and run the clock from end to end. You'll see a sweet-spot in the middle where the moire phases out and back in... you're aiming for the centre of the interference pattern... where every pixel is smooth and sharp.
